Tourism Authority of Thailand signed an MoU with the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau
On 27 June 2019, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Cooperation in the Field of Tourism with the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB). The MOU aims to strengthen and deepen long-term cooperation in the tourism sector, and to assist in the exchanging and sharing of experiences on crisis management.
The MOU was signed by Mr. Chattan Kunjara Na Ayudhya, Deputy Governor for International Marketing Asia and South Pacific of TAT and Mr.Kishu Gomes, Chairman of SLTPB. The signing was witnessed by Mr. John Amaratunga, Minister of Tourism Development, Wildlife and Christian Religious Affairs of Sri Lanka, and Mrs. Chulamanee Chartsuwan, Ambassador of Thailand.
In addition to the signing of the MOU, the delegation led by the TAT also participated in a B2B meeting between Thai and Sri Lankan tour operators. Site visits to various tourism destination in Sri Lanka were also attended by the tour operators and media from Thailand.
